From time to time we run SL performance workshops in the Jewell theatre, and we’ve one coming up this weekend (1st May 2010).

The workshop will examine how performers get into a scene and out of a scene, how to read a script and consider the spatial awareness, how to consider the pace of the text and adapt accordingly. We’re often approached by people who perform in real life, and sometimes the transition between the two isn’t as obvious as it might initially appear.

If you’re interested in coming along to the workshop – they will take place in the Jewell Theatre on Samandiriel, 1300 SLT on Saturday and repeated 1100 SLT on Sunday.

Following this workshop – Fake will talk about the motivation behind her new play Plain. Auditions for Plain will take place next weekend.
